Do You Offer Free Resources?

Yes! I recommend exploring my free webinars, PEM Guide, and eBook.

These resources are designed to give you a strong sense of my philosophy, approach, and the types of concepts we explore inside the program.

You can begin with:

  • The free webinars: anjgranieri.com/freewebinars

Which Plan Is Right For Me?

If you are a self-starter and someone who doesnt really thrive in a group setting, The Self Study Plan may be best for you. This does not include access to the community circles, group chat, group coaching, or access to me, so you are on your own to implement the tools given in the program.

If you want the accountability, camaraderie and support of a group, plus access to me during group coaching and instruction, the Study and Support Plan may be best for you. You will have access to the Cohort Circle Chat for 8 weeks, plus 8 group coaching calls. Your access to The Edison Effect program will stay active for one year.

Finally, if you want ongoing support for the duration of your recovery, however long it takes, The Lifetime Access Plan may be right for you. You will have everything that is included in the Study and Support program, and when your cohort is finished, you can participate in a Lifetime Member Chat, and any and all future cohorts, plus lifetime access to The Edison Effect program.

Please note: The Edison Effect is an evolving program. Lifetime refers to your access to the program for its lifetime and does not guarantee that its coaching schedule, number of cohorts, community structure, services, or delivery will remain unchanged over time.

When Are The Group Coaching Calls?

Group Coaching Calls via the Study and Support Plan, are offered as part of a cohort.

Currently the calls are being offered art 7:00 am MYT and 5:00 p.m MYT in Malaysia. This allows a call to be accessible to everyone around the world.

Every Monday — 7:00 AM Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur)

Which translates to:

  • 🇺🇸 Pacific Time: Sunday 4:00 PM

How Often Are Study & Support Group Cohorts Offered?

Group cohorts for the Study & Support Plan are currently offered 3 times a year, typically in February, June, and October. (Schedule subject to change.)

Enrollment periods typically run January 10–30, May 10–30, and September 10–30.

If you'd like to begin the program between cohorts, you can start with the Self Study Plan and upgrade to Study & Support when enrollment opens for the next cohort.

What you've already paid for Self Study will be credited toward your upgrade, so you'll simply pay the remaining balance between the two plans.

(If you're already enrolled in Self Study and would like to upgrade, please contact me for your upgrade link.)

How Do I Upgrade My Plan?

You can upgrade at any time from Self Study to Study & Support or Lifetime Access, or from Study & Support to Lifetime Access, by simply contacting my assistant. He will send you the offer to upgrade.

Pay the difference in program plans and you're all set!

Are The Group Calls Recorded?

Weekly cohort calls (via the Study & Support Plan) are recorded and remain accessible throughout the duration of the cohort and then until the next cohort begins, at which point the previous cohort's recordings are deleted.

If you are unable to attend live due to your health or schedule, you can watch the call on replay. A link to the recording will be emailed to you the following day.

What If I Have Questions About The Lessons?

If you are taking the program as part of the Study & Support or Lifetime Access Plan, you're encouraged to send me ONE question to be addressed in the live call that week.

I will do my best to answer as many questions as possible, and new member's (plus upgrades to the cohort) questions are prioritized.

Members are encouraged to brainstorm together in the 8 Week Community Live Chat, where everyone will be "hanging out" sharing their experience, insights and their wins!

If you are taking the program as part of The Self Study Plan, you do not have access to group coaching or a community circle, but can upgrade at any time during a quarterly enrollment period.

What If I Am Too Sick To Keep Up With The Course?

You are not expected to “keep up” with the course in any rigid way.

The Edison Effect is designed to meet people across a very wide range of severity levels — from individuals who are still working part-time, all the way to those who are largely bedbound and highly sensitive.

Both the Self Study and Study & Support versions of the program include 1 full year of access to the video modules, so there is never pressure to move through the material quickly. Many members move slowly, revisit lessons multiple times, pause when needed, or engage with only small portions at a time.

If you join firstly through Study & Support, it is important to understand that your experience of the cohort may look very different from someone who is more mild. You may not be able to attend every call live, watch every replay in full, or absorb large amounts of information at once — and that is completely okay.

Many more severe members still find the coaching and community support deeply valuable, even if they engage in smaller doses or primarily listen back over time. You can also submit coaching questions even if you cannot attend live.

That said, if you are currently extremely severe and easily overwhelmed, some people prefer to begin with Self Study first so they can familiarize themselves with the material gently before later upgrading into the coaching environment.

There is no “right” pace in this program. The goal is not to push through the material, but to support your nervous system and healing process in a sustainable way.

How Much Time Do I Need to Invest In The Program?

The program is intentionally designed to be approached gently and sustainably. During the 8-week cohort, 5 videos are released each week, most averaging around 20 minutes. Members are encouraged to watch no more than one video per day, and many move even more slowly depending on their capacity.

You'll also be introduced to supportive practices like pacing, nervous system regulation, meditation, somatic work, and lifestyle strategies — but you are not expected to implement everything at once.

For many members, the daily time investment is well under an hour, and it is completely okay to do less. Part of the Edison Effect is learning to stop overextending yourself with “healing work” and instead build your recovery brick by brick.

Is There Any Homework?

Yes. There are short assignments throughout the program to help you apply what you're learning to your own recovery.

Most are brief reflective or written exercises that take only a few minutes, while others are small action-based practices. Everything can be adapted to your current capacity.

The goal is integration, not perfection. You're encouraged to work within your limits — the assignments are there to support your recovery, not become another source of pressure or “healing work.”

What If I Need 1:1 Support?

For members enrolled in a Study & Support cohort, limited availability may be offered for one individual support session during the 8-week cohort for an additional fee. These sessions are offered on a case-by-case basis and cannot be guaranteed.

For members who need more consistent, in-depth 1:1 support, Private Mentorship is available on a limited basis to Study & Support and Lifetime Members. Private Mentorship is a dedicated 3-month container that allows us to work more closely and consistently with the Edison Effect methodology and your individual recovery process.

Drop-in coaching is otherwise not offered, and private coaching is not available with the Self Study Plan.

What Is The Difference Between The 3 Plans?

The Edison Effect is one core program offered with three different levels of access and support. The educational content is the same — the difference is coaching, community, and length of access.

Self Study

Self Study includes 1 full year of access to the complete Edison Effect program, including all modules, meditations, worksheets, and resources.

This option is designed for people who prefer to work through the material independently. It does not include live coaching or community access.

Your year begins the day you enroll, and you can upgrade to Study & Support or Lifetime Access at any point during your active membership year by paying the difference between plans.

Study & Support

Study & Support includes everything in Self Study, plus one live 8-week coaching cohort during your active membership year, including:

  • Live group coaching calls across two time zones

  • Private cohort community access

  • Cohort-specific support and accountability

You can enroll directly in Study & Support or begin with Self Study and upgrade when you're ready for a future cohort.

Important: Your core Edison Effect program access continues for the remainder of your original 1-year membership. However, Study & Support does not include a full year of coaching. Coaching and cohort community access are available during your cohort, and call replays remain available until the next cohort begins.

Lifetime Access

Lifetime Access gives you access to The Edison Effect for the lifetime of the program, currently including:

  • Future updates and upgrades to the core Edison Effect program

  • Access to the private Lifetime Member community

  • Community prompts and opportunities for connection

  • Access to coaching cohorts offered to Lifetime Members and their call replays

  • The ability to revisit the methodology as your recovery evolves

The Edison Effect itself will continue to evolve over time, including its coaching opportunities, cohort schedule, community structure, services, and delivery.

You can purchase Lifetime Access from the beginning or upgrade from Self Study or Study & Support during your active membership year by paying the difference between plans.

I Have Long Covid. Is This Program Suitable For Me?

Yes. Many people inside The Edison Effect developed ME/CFS following COVID infection.

The program is designed around ME/CFS regardless of the original trigger, so the important question is whether your Long COVID presentation resembles ME/CFS — particularly whether you experience post-exertional malaise (PEM)alongside symptoms such as exercise intolerance, brain fog, unrefreshing sleep, or dysautonomia.

If so, The Edison Effect may be well suited to you, even without a formal ME/CFS diagnosis.

Long COVID can also involve medical issues outside the scope of my program, such as structural organ damage. The Edison Effect specifically addresses the ME/CFS recovery picture through nervous system reshaping, pacing and stabilization, physiological support, personal transformation, and gradual capacity building.

Am I Too Old To Recover?

No. People of many different ages in The Edison Effect have experienced meaningful improvement and recovery, from as young as 16 to as old as 81.

Age can influence things like hormones, conditioning, recovery speed, and overall health complexity, but recovery is not reserved for young people.

The program focuses on creating the conditions for stabilization, healing, and gradual adaptation over time — not pushing the body beyond its limits.

Every person's path is different and outcomes can never be guaranteed, but age alone does not disqualify someone from improvement or recovery.

What If I Have Photophobia & Audio Sensitivities?

Many members inside the program experience significant sensory and cognitive sensitivities, especially during more severe phases of illness.

The course is designed to be adapted to your current level of capacity. You are encouraged to engage with the material slowly and gently, rather than trying to consume everything at once.

Some members choose to:

  • Watch videos at half speed

  • Listen only to audio

  • Read only the summary notes initially

  • Engage with just 5–10 minutes of material at a time

  • Pause frequently and revisit material later

  • Begin with Self Study before entering a coaching cohort

There is never pressure to complete the material quickly. The goal is to support your nervous system, not overwhelm it. I usually encourage everyone to begin wherever they are, because waiting till you see improvement to take the program, when the program can provide guidelines on how to make improvement, can be a fruitless endeavor.

Better to move at a snails pace that honors your body and begin to take in the course, than continue doing what you know is not working.

Is the course available in other languages?

Not at this time. The Edison Effect is currently offered only in English.

However, many people in the program do not speak English as their first language and are able to participate successfully. Of course, taking in information in a second language can be more challenging when you're already dealing with cognitive impairment, so please honor your own capacity around this.

Swedish, German, and Spanish translations are planned for the future, and any new language options will be announced through my newsletter and social media.

What If I Cannot Afford The Program?

Yes. I try to offer multiple pathways to make the program more accessible whenever possible.

Give Forward Promotion

Each November, I offer a limited-time “Give Forward” promotion in which the Self Study version of the program is discounted by approximately 40% for 11 days.

Payment Plans

Extended payment plans are available for many program options to help reduce the upfront financial burden.

Early Bird Discounts

Prior to open enrollment for Study & Support cohorts, I occasionally offer a limited number of discounted Early Bird spots to newsletter subscribers.

Scholarship Program

Scholarship recipients are awarded during cohort enrollment. You can check the store page to see whether applications are currently open.

The best way to stay informed about discounts, scholarships, and enrollment opportunities is by joining the newsletter.

Are The Coaching Calls Available Year-Round?

No. Study & Support coaching cohorts are offered periodically throughout the year during designated enrollment periods rather than continuously.

If you're in Self Study, you'll be notified by email when enrollment opens and can upgrade to join an upcoming cohort, provided your 1-year program access is still active.

If you're a Lifetime Member, you'll receive an invitation to join each coaching cohort offered to Lifetime Members at no additional cost. Participation is always optional.

Because cohorts are live and community-based, Study & Support upgrades can only be made during active enrollment periods and cannot be added once a cohort is already underway.

What happens when my access expires?

When your initial 1-year access expires, you have two options:

1. Upgrade to Lifetime
Keep access to The Edison Effect for the lifetime of the program, including future updates and access to the community and coaching opportunities offered to Lifetime Members. You'll also become eligible for Private Mentorship when available.

2. Purchase a 6-Month Extension
Continue accessing the program for another six months. The full cost of your extension is added to your Lifetime Upgrade Credit, so that investment can be applied toward Lifetime if you decide to upgrade later.

What happens at the end of my 6-month extension?

At the end of your extension, you can either:

  • Upgrade to Lifetime using your accumulated Lifetime Upgrade Credit, or
  • Rent the program month-to-month if you aren't ready to upgrade.

While renting, your existing Lifetime Upgrade Credit is frozen — monthly rental payments do not add to it. If you cancel your rental without upgrading to Lifetime, your accumulated upgrade credit expires. If you return in the future, you'll simply repurchase the program and begin a new 1-year access period.

Monthly rental is only available after completing a 6-month extension; it is not available immediately after your initial membership year expires.

We don't want anyone to feel pressured into Lifetime before they're ready. These options are designed to give you additional time with the program while still providing a pathway toward Lifetime if you eventually decide it's right for you.
